Coleman blowtorches were made for Coleman, Toronto by Canadian company Butler and these Coleman blowtorches have their own page HERE.
BUTLER PRODUCTS
Butler produced it’s own blowtorches as well as many for several other businesses, most notably Coleman, Toronto.

Butler 100 (Gasoline 2 pt – 1940s to 1970s)
Notes: The 100 was a common Butler model and the top image from Roland Chevalier’s collection shows an earlier version with the lobed valve wheel. The lower image shows a later version with a pressed metal valve wheel which was previously in Roland’s collection. Both were filled by removing the pump assembly.

Butler 100A (Gasoline 1 pt – about 1950s)
Notes: The 100A has a taller pump than the model 100. The valve control wheel is the pressed metal type. The usual features like a varnished handle and a soldering iron hook are also present. The pump acts as the filler plug as well. This blowtorch is from Roland Chevalier’s collection.
DOMINION BRAND
Dominion blowtorches were made in Canada by the Butler ‘Company’ which had several name changes over the years. The Dominion blowtorches were mostly unleaded gasoline appliances though a couple were kerosene based.

Dominion 500 (Gasoline 1 quart – abt 1960)
Notes: A reasonably powerful blowtorch that was solidly made but sold as the cheapest Dominion unit. This unit, from the Sedgman collection, was not filled by a bottom placed filler cap; instead the pump was removed for filling.
